This city is an awesome place for the beauty business and I encourage anyone who loves doing hair to DO IT. Is our city a good place to do what you do? What sets me apart is what sets us all apart, just being myself! I’m most proud of how happy every client is when they leave and that brings me joy knowing I brought them joy. My specialty is SilkPress, MicroLinks and Color my three favorites but I can do it all. I own a salon that specializes in creating beautiful hairstyles for your everyday women to feel her very best.
We’d love to hear more about your business. As long as I stay dedicated to my vision it will all pay off. The road hasn’t been easy because I’m still currently building my clientele but it’s worth every tear I’ve shed. The road isn’t easy but I’m doing what I love so it’s beyond worth it. The things that were thrown on my path to stop me from getting to my goal gave me a strength I can only give GOD the credit for. In December of 2018, I opened my salon suite and the journey along the way was very challenging but always putting GOD first will always be my way of getting things done. I was awarded the Paul Mitchell spirit award and that made me proud because it’s a reminder that no matter how hard the road is no matter the obstacles being kind through it all is the key.Īfter graduating, I worked at a few different salons I learned a lot from each one but I never felt that was the place I belong so I knew it was time to take the leap of faith and get my salon suite. Attending school and raising four children under five years wasn’t easy but I was determined. During my time at Paul Mitchell I felt like a sponge I wanted to soak in as much information as I could. It was so different from my first cosmetology school experience and it was because it was my TIME. I attended Paul Mitchell the school Esani and I took that opportunity with so much gratitude and it showed. Once the oldest set went to Pre-K I took that opportunity to go back to cosmetology school.

Then surprise three years later, I’m pregnant again with another set of twins so its full mommy mode times 4. In 2010, my husband and I had our 1st set of twins so at that point, I went full mommy mode and my goal had to put to the side until I could come back to it.
Timing is everything if your not ready to receive something in that timing you won’t and know I can see that wasn’t my time. At first, I was disappointed in myself because I felt I gave up but later on, I understood why things went the way they did. I attended my first cosmetology school in 2007 and later on felt that wasn’t the school for me so dropped out after three months. My plan was to attend cosmetology school right after graduating high school but after losing my mother in a tragic car accident things went differently. Growing up, I wore so many different hairstyles because I loved trying new styles and dolls just wasn’t doing it for me anymore lol. I’ve always known I was going to be a hairstylist because the joy I felt as a child every time I would style then take down my doll’s hair to only style again I still feel that joy today. Kreshia, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today. Today we’d like to introduce you to Kreshia Fields.
